About the event
Part of the Grampian mountains in the Lochaber area of Scotland, Ben Nevis stands at an incredible 1,344m high (4,411ft). This is a must-do hike for those wanting to take part in the National 3 Peaks in August. This is also a huge goal for many members that are not wanting to take on the National 3 Peaks but would love to do Ben Nevis.
We will be meeting at the cafe at 5.15am with hopes of arriving at Ben Nevis by 1pm latest. The hike is set to take 6 hours and is a long and steep ascent to the top. On a clear day there is nothing quite like the views throughout the hike especially as the sun begins to set! There is a pub at the bottom to serve us our hot food and our beds await for a well deserved sleep.
